Our Multi-award-winning Singapore Maths Program helps children not only to excel in the subject but also cultivates a love for it!

Our two learning pillars gives your child a unique learning experience that is designed to build confidence, greater understanding, and a fun environment to learn.

Can My Child Join?

SAM is an enrichment program for children aged 4-12

The S.A.M Program provides for all learners to have a good math foundation and advanced learners to continue to be challenged!

Grade R & RR (Ages 4-6)

What your child will gain:

Learning these critical skills in their early years will make math fun and develop a strong number sense for your child.

Grade 1-2 (Ages 6-8)

What your child will gain:

For children in grades 1 and 2, we reinforce the math concepts already being taught in the school system using the Singaporean method.

Grade 3-6 (Ages 8-12)

What your child will gain:

In today’s competitive environment, simply relying on rote memorisation (parrot learning) of procedures will not be enough to ensure your child’s future success in math.

The ability to solve complex situational problems will instil in your child a sense of pride and self- confidence that simply cannot be measured by marks alone.

An Effective & Friendly Environment For Your Child To Learn In

Our two learning pillars give your child a unique learning experience that is designed to build confidence, greater understanding and a fun environment to learn.

Classroom Experience

Our qualified S.A.M trainers encourage students to discover their own solutions rather than being told what to do. Our trainers engage students with dialogue, questions, props, games and constant encouragement.

Worksheet Experience

Our worksheets engage your child individually at their own time, using real-world examples. Designed with a step-up approach your child will receive worksheets that will become steadily more difficult as they move through them.

The Focus of Our Lessons

Take a look at some of the unique focus points your child will interact with during their lessons.

Singapore Maths System

S.A.M is based on the Singapore Maths system. Singapore Maths is reputed to be one of the most successful national programs in the world, according to the TIMSS (Trends in International Maths & Science Study) survey, since 1995.

CPA Method

Your child will engage in fun activities using concrete experiences to connect mathematical concepts with real-life experiences (Concrete). The second step is to relate their newfound knowledge to pictures (Pictorial) and lastly to progress to the use of numbers and formulas (Abstract).

Bar Model Method

Bar modelling is used as a visual approach to problem solving, allowing your child the ability to understand, interpret and conceptualise word problems.

Number Bonds and Number Sense

Number Bonds are pictorial representations of how numbers can be broken down and reconstructed in ways that make it easy for your child to do mental math and to build a solid foundation.

Step-up method

The scaffolding approach uses techniques to move your child progressively towards better understanding and increased independence in the learning process. Ensures students master each topic before moving on to the next.

How our lessons work

We customise the program to the child's level and pace. Lessons are 1 hour a week with a maximum of 6 children in a session.

Concrete Aids

Firstly, trainers will use concrete aids that explain the weeks content encouraging discussion, involvement and exploration.

Worksheets

Secondly, students start with worksheets under close supervision and complete at home.

Hand-in

The next week students hand in completed worksheets to be marked and graded.

Reports

At the end of the month/term a report will be issued with results. If not completed, students will complete additional worksheets until ready to move on.

Move On

If completed satisfactorily, students will then move on to the next lesson which gradually will get more difficult.
